Baby's 1st Christmas

Joy to the world, the Lord is come!
Let earth receive her King;
Let every heart prepare Him room...
He rules the world with truth and grace,
And makes the nations prove
The glories of His righteousness,
And wonders of His love...

I'm a BIG 8 month old!

Calvin playing with Uncle Telly and Aunt Cristina.

Cal got to open up his very first Christmas present from his Aunt Cristina.

Cal's first Christmas Eve with the whole Blesi gang.
Calvin had a busy December! He turned eight months old, celebrated his first Christmas and New Years Eve, got to spend time with his Uncle Joe and Aunt Cristina, and travel to Washington to visit his Nana, Gramps, Aunt Lera, Uncle AJ, and Great, Great Aunt Anna and Great, Great Grandma a.ka. GramCracker. On top of all that, he learned to crawl!
More Christmas pictures to follow!

Baby's 1st Christmas

After Thanksgiving some friends of ours took us to Missouri Botanical Gardens to see the Christmas decorations and take a family Christmas picture. It's really hard to get three people to look at the camera!

Later we went to Giancarlo's for lunch where a 91 year old Sicilian cooked for us.

Mimi took us to get a Christmas tree. Cal's first!

Cal loves the new toy in the living room!

Mornings are rough!

Thanksgiving spent with Papa Nino- boh!

Mostly, we just like to play!

Happy Thanksgiving

"Give thanks to the Lord, call on His name; make known among the nations what He has done, and proclaim that His name is exalted. Sing to the Lord, for His has done glorious things; let this be known to all the world. Shout aloud and sing for joy, people of Zion, for great is the Holy One of Israel among you."
-Isaiah 12:4-6
This Thanksgiving Cal and I are especially thankful for our beautiful and loving mom/bride. She takes the best care of us and I don't know what we'd do without her. She is such a wonderful mom and wife because she is so wise, patient, helpful, nurturing, affectionate, gracious, hard-working, passionate, sacrificial, etc...

I am also thankful for our close friends and family members, and our church family from CITC (oh how we miss you) and Kirk of the Hills.

Most of all though, we are thankful to the Lord God for reuniting us to Him through Jesus Christ's atoning death on the cross!

Fun at Home (even though we've all been sick)

Halloween: Trick, Treat or Retreat?

I came across a pretty cool (and long) blog post tonight while doing research on the history of Halloween. If you think you'll read the whole thing, you may want to cut and paste it into a word doc. as the writing is small and will most likely give you a headache or fry your eyeballs.

Also, on the topic of jack-o-lanterns, you'll be happy to know that Cal's first tooth broke through today! Pictures to follow...
