Unless the LORD builds the House

We have arrived at Psalm 127 (we try to start out each day by spending a couple of minutes reading a Psalm and 5 verses from the book of Proverbs) today and I wanted to post it for everyone to read as I have not found a Psalm that has inspired/encouraged me this much in over eight years.

Psalm 127
Unless the LORD builds the house, its builders labor in vain.
Unless the LORD watches over the city, the watchmen stand guard in vain.
In vain you rise early and stay up late, eating the bread of anxious toil —
for He grants sleep to those He loves.
Sons are a heritage from the LORD, children a reward from Him.
Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are sons born in one's youth.
Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them.
They will not be put to shame when they contend with their enemies at the gate.

Travis! Calvin is absolutely adorable!! God's perfect creation! Congratulations on becoming a daddy! I just received the joyous news, and I can't tell you how overjoyed the entire Griffin Gang is! LOVE your tunes too - especially the Scottish hymm (I'm a fellow Scot too 'ya know :) I thank you for bringing this Psalm to life again for me - it's wisdom is Divinely perfect, and I know you and Ari live its words each day. Calvin is one fortunate little guy to have you both as his chosen loving guardians. God Bless you, Ari and Cal - much love, Karen Griffin
